The Cat’s Out of the Bag…Err Hotel
Meet the cats of the Oetker Collection!
If you’ve been to Le Bristol Paris, Brenner’s Park-Hotel & Spa, or The Lanesborough recently, you may have noticed a certain feline presence in the halls. For 10 years now, Oetker Collection properties have been welcoming resident cats, with Fa-Raon joining the Bristol family in 2010, Kleopatre making her presence known at Brenner’s Park in 2017, and Lilibet – the newest addition – making her home at The Lanesborough in 2019. Meet the hotel industry’s cutest feline friends below!
Fa-Raon
Le Bristol Paris
Breed: Birman
Hobbies: Playing with his toys, cuddling hotel guests (occasionally), sunning himself in the garden
Hangouts: His very own RENK designed graffiti suite, the lobby staircase, the concierge desk
“Fa-Raon has an appropriately Parisian attitude – he poses around the lobby, waiting to be adored, just so he can snub you. But his presence highlights the warm and generous staff - after all, they please a snobby cat every day, so there's no problem handling a jet-lagged New Yorker.” – TLF Travel Consultant, Jordy Lievers Eaton
Kleopatre
Brenner’s Park-Hotel & Spa
Breed: Birman
Hobbies: Adventuring into town
Hangouts: The halls of Brenner’s Park, the warm ledge near the fireplace
Before she arrived at Brenner’s Park, Kleopatre lived alongside her companion Fa-Raon at Le Bristol. But in 2017 she decided she needed a change of scenery, so bid farewell to Fa-Raon and the Bristol and made her way to Brenner’s Park. Now a bonafide Baden Baden local, she enjoys the fresh air of the Black Forest during daily strolls through town. Her adventurous spirit sometimes leads her far from home – luckily neighbors are always willing to return her to Brenner’s before sunset.
Lilibet
The Lanesborough
Breed: Siberian Forest Cat
Hobbies: Cuddling, socializing with guests, napping
Hangouts: The Managing Director’s Desk
Lilibet is the newest addition to the Oetker Collection. She arrived at The Lanesborough in June 2019, immediately delighting staff and guests with her endearing personality. The hotel now has a group of feline-loving employees – known as the Cat Committee – who oversee Lilibet’s care.
