Little Dix Bay Re-Opens After Four Years
The British Virgin Islands' most storied property is back after four long years of anticipation. Founded by Laurance Rockefeller in 1964, Little Dix Bay has enchanted visitors with its pristine crescent beach and Caribbean pace of life for more than 50 years. After a top-to-bottom refurbishment (that was hindered by 2017's devastating hurricane season), the hotel has finally re-opened. Now managed by Rosewood, the property has maintained much of its original charms -- you'll find original structures and stonework, a mid-century aesthetic, and more than 1/3 of the hotel's original staff members. Rosewood has also upheld the hotel’s longtime legacy of being a place to escape the realities of everyday life by leaving TVs out of all but a few room categories. Tradition aside, there are plenty of 21st century amenities for guests to take advantage of including farm-to-table dining, a knockout rum bar, a clifftop spa, seven tennis courts, a kids club, and one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches.
