The third installment of Italy’s beloved J.K. Place properties, J.K. Place Roma is the stylish linchpin of Rome’s hotel scene. Dressed in handsome mahoganies, striated marbles, and striking contemporary art, the hotel’s common spaces give a punchy nod to retro Dolce Vita glamour. Rooms are a departure from classic Italian opulence, but feel skillfully refined with crown moldings, swish art deco furnishings, and unexpectedly vibrant color schemes. JK Café is the hotel’s well-liked on-site restaurant, though foodies will want to head elsewhere for a truly exceptional meal.

What We Loved: Stylish decor, attentive service, exclusive atmosphere

What We Didn’t Love: Alleyway location doesn’t allow for much natural light, on-site restaurant isn’t a standout

Right For: Fans of the J.K. brand, travelers keen on boutique properties

Wrong For: Travelers who need a spa or fully equipped fitness center

Best Time to Visit: March-June, September-November

TLF Tip: During the summer months, make sure to check out the rooftop garden, where the hotel screens movies under the stars.
