Alex was raised in Greenwich, Connecticut and grew up spending holidays on the slopes out west and summers in Europe. After graduating from the University of Virginia, her appetite for adventure evolved into a travel obsession. A city girl and an outdoorswoman, she has taught English in the slums of Mumbai, excavated fossils in Mongolia, and trekked with gorillas in Rwanda. After stints abroad in Zermatt and Florence, Alex settled in Manhattan. Her early career was spent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Turner Broadcasting. She spent four years at a high-end membership-based travel company in New York before becoming a partner at the Local Foreigner.

A dual French and American citizen born and raised in Manhattan, Alexandra has relished every opportunity to engage with worlds different from her own. A nomadic soul and multi-linguist, she has spent much of her life wandering, living, and studying around the world. Upon receiving a Masters in Economics from the Paris Institute of Political Studies and the London School of Economics, she returned to New York and devoted four years to a career in Investment Banking and Real Estate. Recognizing the need for a higher degree of personalization and a more empathetic approach to trip curation, Alexandra founded The Local Foreigner in 2012 as a one-stop shop for inspiration, insider insight, and comprehensive travel planning.

A proud Ohio native, Libby has a deep love for her home state. Her first memorable travel experience was a trip to New York with her mom and aunt for her seventh birthday. Fast forward a few years, and Libby is living in Manhattan and soaking up insider travel knowledge from her colleagues, as the Local Foreigner’s Director of Operations. Libby has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University and a JD/MBA from the University of Toledo. She serves on the Board of Directors for EAGLE Certification Group.

Jordy grew up in the idyllic surf capital of Encinitas, California surrounded by art and theater, but she always felt the pull of New York City and moved east at 18. She has a BA in Art History and English Literature from Columbia University, and an MFA in Acting from The American Repertory Theater Institute at Harvard. Working as an actor brought her to stages across the globe, and sparked an obsession for discovering unique art, theater, and vegetarian food the world over (she also maintains a Google Map of the most charming pubs in the British Isles and Ireland.) She has lived in Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Alaska, and Cambridge and visited five continents, but loves to bring her dogeared passport home to her brownstone apartment on the Upper West Side.

Hutton discovered the globe to be an expansive, diverse, and alive place when her passport was first stamped as a high schooler in Dallas on a 3-week long school trip to Spain. Since then, her sense of curiosity and desire to experience new cultures has led her to nearly 50 countries across six continents. After graduating with a Finance Degree from The University of Texas, she began her career in financial consulting. While she enjoyed her five years as a consultant, her true love was planning travel for herself and others. After a three-month trip around the world with her husband, she decided to pivot and pursue travel planning as a career. HUTTON|B, a luxury travel advisory, was established during the Summer of 2017 when she was living in New York City. Since then, it’s been her greatest joy to share the world with her clients.

Elizabeth spent the first ten years of her career producing commercials for some of the biggest brands and advertising agencies around the world, with her work taking her across North America, South America, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. It was while working with overseas clients and local film crews in places far from home that Elizabeth realized the kind of meaningful change that can take place when you spend time experiencing cultures different from your own. As a dual citizen of the UK, Elizabeth was born in London and spent her early years there before moving stateside to Richmond, and then Atlanta. After graduating from Ole Miss, she moved to New York City for nearly a decade before she and her husband relocated to London for a few years, during which they traveled Western Europe extensively. When they relocated to Denver, Elizabeth launched her travel business under the tutelage of industry veteran Betty Jo Currie. She is delighted to have found a home at The Local Foreigner, which will allow her clients to benefit from the company’s wealth of knowledge, leverage their incredible worldwide relationships, and enjoy all the VIP perks and treatment The Local Foreigner is known for.

Born and raised in Florida, Haley moved to Los Angeles at the age of 22 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. While working in the talent departments and events divisions of different creative agencies, Haley began planning and executing once-in-a-lifetime experiences for clients. She became addicted to the planning process and eventually decided to broaden her horizons by taking a job at a venture capital firm, where she planned over-the-top corporate events and retreats. In 2020, Haley partnered with The Local Foreigner as an independent affiliate and launched Born Travelers, her luxury travel consultancy specializing in custom experiences. Born Travelers is her platform for sharing her passion for travel with others. Still based in Los Angeles, Haley is proud to be The Local Foreigner’s first west-coast affiliate.

A native New Yorker, Camilla found her way to the travel industry by way of gemstones and jewelry. During her 14 year tenure as the Vice President of Merchandising for Tiffany & Co., Camilla traveled throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. After her children were born, Camilla focused her travel-energies on introducing them to the world beyond New York City. In 2011, she moved the kids to Paris, where the family spent two years navigating French culture. They made the most of their shift in geography by traveling extensively throughout Europe. When Camilla returned to New York (however reluctantly), her friends were quick to seek her advice on all things travel. They appreciated her ability to uncover under-the-radar places and authentic experiences which felt special, luxurious, and personal. From there, what started as a mild obsession became the impetus for a career change. In September 2018 Camilla partnered with The Local Foreigner as an independent affiliate and launched her travel consultancy, Global Patina.

Raised between London, Tokyo, and half a dozen US cities, Kelly didn’t just develop the travel bug, she was born with it. Taking her first solo flight at the ripe old age of nine, Kelly’s always had a flare for independence, and hasn’t stopped booking flights since. She holds a Master’s degree in sports nutrition from Florida State University, but couldn’t stay away from the travel industry, where she worked as a Trip Designer at a high-end membership-based travel agency in New York before joining the Local Foreigner team as an Independent Contractor. Always up for an adventure, Kelly enjoys far flung trips to remote destinations, considering Japan, Iceland, Tanzania, and Australia some of her favorite destinations. When she’s not traversing the globe, Kelly enjoys all things outdoors, but has a special place in her heart for alpine activities — particularly hiking and snowboarding.

Lauren has had a serious case of wanderlust for as long as she can remember. Hailing from a family of travel enthusiasts, Lauren traveled throughout her childhood, venturing across Europe, Mexico, and the United States. She moved from Los Angeles to New York to attend NYU and Columbia Business School, and worked through her 20s in New York City’s vibrant restaurant industry. Over the years Lauren traveled to more than 35 countries and became the unofficial travel planner for all of her loved ones. She felt such immense joy seeing her family and friends delight in the trips she planned, that she decided to turn her passion into a career. Casey joins TLF after over 10 years in commercial real estate brokerage, where she represented tenants and landlords in transactions valued over $100M. Her passion for travel stems from childhood, with a family tradition of three annual vacations for culture, skiing, and beach destinations. David began working in the travel industry at a young age – starting in high school, where he interned at a luxury travel agency in his hometown of Chicago. His experience there spurred his interest in hospitality, and after studying finance and sociology at Emory University, and dabbling in a career in finance in New York City, he knew he had to pursue his passion. David started The Kane Club in 2018 with a unique focus on luxury travel for the next generation of travelers. David has lived in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Hong Kong, Careyes (Mexico), Barcelona, and Paris, and looks forward to continuing to explore the world finding the next ‘it’ destinations for clients.

Jillian was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and spent her childhood exploring the United States with her National Park ranger parents. She began her career in Texas, teaching humanities and world cultures before becoming the Assistant Principal of a high-impact charter middle school. She has a BA from the University of Florida and an MBA from Rice University. Jillian lived in Abu Dhabi for 8 years, loving the expat life and traveling with her husband and three children. Jillian is particularly passionate about planning luxury adventure and family travel. Her own children have road-tripped through Provence, experienced safaris in Kenya and South Africa, splashed on the beaches of the Seychelles, and explored the wadis and deserts throughout the Middle East. As a veteran travel writer / author in addition to being a consultant, Meg has spent the last fifteen years traversing the globe, visiting some of the most highly sought-after locations and properties either on assignment or a quest for the next best haunt for clients. She caught not only the travel bug, but also the desire to document and share her findings rather young, keeping copious travel journals and collecting hotel matchbooks (remember those!) since she was thirteen. With a degree in Foreign Languages and Linguistics from Georgetown University as well as three separate stints living abroad (Milan, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires) and the recent goal of acquiring her Masters in Wine, Meg embraces a new landscape and challenge, especially when they look, sound and taste good. Meg's favorite part of trip designing for clients is the a-ha moment when it's clear she's found just the right spot for them.

Emily has always had an insatiable curiosity; for history, culture, art, and cuisine. And, as the daughter of a travel agent, the appreciation for a well-crafted itinerary is in her blood. In college, Emily double majored in Art History and Communication at Wake Forest University and lived in Madrid, Spain for a semester. She started her travel career in New York City with a high-end membership-based travel company, where she worked her way from travel operations and logistics to trip design and travel sales. No matter where she is in the world, Emily is working her way through multiple books, podcasts, travel publications, and has a constant finger on the pulse of the travel industry. From a young age, it was instilled in Jenny to spend money on experiences rather than things, and growing up, her family spent their time traveling together. During her junior year of college, she went on a Kenyan safari and right after, studied abroad in Buenos Aires. It was then she knew she wanted to pursue a career in hospitality. After college, she spent a year teaching English in Madrid and exploring Europe. Once home, she spent five years working in sales at The Ritz-Carlton, learning the “hotel side” of the business. In 2017, the opportunity to move to NYC and work for a boutique travel agency came about. There, she found her passion helping people build their dream trips, and has been doing just that ever since.

Nancy is a native of Manhattan who caught the travel bug early as the daughter of a pioneering career woman who didn’t want to leave her only child behind when she went on vacation. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in Art History, Nancy pursued a career in publishing. She began in the fiction department of The New Yorker, extended her territory by editing destination focused lifestyle books at Clarkson Potter (French Style, Caribbean Style, American Country), then turned her attention to interiors and landscapes as the Editor in Chief of House & Garden. But it was her next position, as the Editor in Chief of Travel + Leisure for over 21 years, that she really got to see the world – from Australia and New Zealand, to the Maldives, East Africa, Brazil, and China, with countless stops along the way. An Independent Contractor, Nancy is the founder of Culturati Travel Design, where she taps into her interests in arts and culture, as well as food and style (a.k.a. shopping) to create very special trips for private clients and small groups. When not pursuing her passion for travel, Nancy divides her time between an apartment overlooking the East River in Manhattan and a house on a hill in northwestern Connecticut.

Traveling has been an innate part of Cally’s life since childhood. Growing up in Atlanta, she would often travel overseas to visit relatives in England and took many international vacations with her family. She carried her love of travel to college, where she studied abroad in four different locations — Copenhagen, Florence, Saigon, and Jakarta. Since graduating from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, she has served as a go-to travel resource for friends, family and clients alike. Cally has worked in the luxury travel industry since 2013 in both New York and Chicago, and now joins the Local Foreigner team from her home in Atlanta. The most rewarding part of her job is being able to create meaningful, memorable, and immersive travel experiences for her clients and their families.

Growing up the youngest of four girls on Long Island, Maggie was always striving for independence. She spent many summers seeking an escape and loved the rush of excitement, strength, and freedom her travels gave her. She attended Kent School in Connecticut and lived in Sydney during her studies at Boston College. Maggie was raised to help others whenever possible and to believe that school never lets out. She taught elementary school and worked in the non-profit world in New York City. Maggie spent the last eight years styling clients for a luxury lifestyle brand based in Atlanta, where she is closer to family. She cultivated a large client base, teaching them to be confident in their choices and simultaneously dispensing travel advice. She is very excited to be launching her career as a travel consultant which allows her to marry her true passions and skills. She will help inspire clients to book that trip on their bucket list with confidence.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Amanda grew up enjoying the beauty of the California coastline, exploring the Channel Islands, and spending time in Hawaii where her Dad is from. She carried her love of traveling to university where she studied abroad in Madrid. Since graduating from Wake Forest University with a degree in Political Science and Spanish, she returned to Los Angeles where she began a career in hospitality. She first worked in PR and marketing for Cachet Hotel Group later transitioning into an operations role at Viceroy Hotel Group. After four years in Los Angeles, she decided to go back to school, later receiving a masters in International Management from Birkbeck, University of London School of Business. Because Amanda currently lives in London, she has been fortunate enough to explore the local ins and outs of the city, as well as the British countryside. She is also happy to always be just a short train ride away from Paris and a short flight from other top European destinations. Given her background in luxury hotel management, Amanda has always been a resource for friends, colleagues, and family seeking travel recommendations. Born and raised on Long Island, Michelle first landed in New York on a music scholarship to NYU followed by a brief stint in PR and a 13-year run at a major financial firm. She finally found her way to the luxury travel industry in 2016, being an avid traveler who had always dished out travel advice to friends and family. Michelle joins the Local Foreigner team after spending 5 years at a boutique luxury travel consultancy in New York. She currently lives in downtown Manhattan with her husband and three little kids, who accompany her on most of her adventures. Michelle has been planning travel for 7 years.

Armed with a Global Studies degree from the University of California - Santa Barbara, Tracy navigated between Southern California and New York City, embarking on worldwide explorations. Starting in luxury lifestyle management, she crafted bespoke travel experiences for discerning clients. This expertise paved the way to a pivotal role at Sony Music, reporting to the CEO of Epic Records, and next at the Hearst Corporation as part of their Entertainment & Syndication team. The lure of travel proved irresistible and Tracy embraced this calling once more, and after three years managing her own travel clients, has landed as a proud Independent Affiliate of the Local Foreigner team. Entrusted with orchestrating travel plans, Tracy perceives her role not just as a job, but as a privilege. Lily studied at the University of New Hampshire, and had the incredible opportunity to study abroad on Semester at Sea, a floating campus that circumnavigates the globe, while visiting 13 countries. This semester was very influential and ultimately what inspired her to start her business.
After graduation, she began over a decade long career in Tech Sales. Working at EMC, IBM and most recently 8+ years at VMware. During this time, she started Passport Stamps. She worked two jobs for 6 years until she had built the business to where she felt comfortable going full time. She’s planned hundreds of trips at this point, and no two trips have been the same.
In the last two years, she and her family left Brooklyn, and she now lives in Westport, CT with her husband, Mark and their two amazing girls, aged 4 and 2. When she’s not working, she’s spending all of her time with them.

Missy majored in Arts Management in one of her favorite cities in the country, Charleston, South Carolina at The College of Charleston. She has always been an aesthete at heart who loves to find beauty anywhere she can - whether it be in art, interior design, architecture, nature, cuisine, or in various cultures around the world. After briefly working in the fashion industry, she started her career in travel at a high-end membership-based travel company where she worked as a Luxury Travel Specialist for six years, curating itineraries and building client relationships. She loves to spend her free time painting, horseback riding, and is discovering a new love for fly fishing. Aside from Nantucket - one of her favorite places in the world - two trips she could never get sick of are African safari and the Amalfi coast. An avid reader, her happy place is a beach with a good book and a great sandwich. She is based in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and English Cocker Spaniel, Pepper.
