Perfect for larger families or groups traveling together, Àni Anguilla is a 10-suite private resort featuring two villas, each with its own infinity pool, which can be booked separately for smaller parties or together to accommodate all your nearest and dearest. Set on two island acres and fully staffed (including your own masseuse!), the privileged and private position facing northwest over the ocean means sundowners here are next level, especially if you take them in your cliffside hot tub. Add in the private tennis court, panoramic sea views, and fun extras like steel drum lessons, and we’ll forgive you if you start thinking of Ani as home sweet home.

What We Loved: Though all beaches on Anguilla are technically public, Ani sits above a secluded cove called Little Bay, which can be reached by abseiling down the neighboring cliffside by rope.

What We Didn’t Love: Total privacy can be a double-edged sword for social butterflies, who may find themselves missing the spontaneity and camaraderie of toasting new friends at the hotel beach bar.

Right For: Multi-generational families will love the space, privacy, and amenities – the South Villa is even wheelchair accessible, meaning all ages can join the fun.

Wrong For: This is a prime spot for groups of 8 or more, so smaller families looking for private residences may want to check out the beachfront villas at Four Seasons Anguilla.

Best Time to Visit: Caribbean Christmas is a dream here – book well in advance to guarantee availability (and so Santa has time to adjust his route.)

TLF Tip: Groups with a sense of fun should book the 6-bedroom South Villa, which comes with billiards and a shuffleboard table for rum-punch fueled game nights.
