Two hours south of Nha Trang, on a granite outcropping overlooking Vinh Hy Bay, dozens of tiny pavilions lie embedded between a leafy canopy. This is Amanoi, Vietnam’s place of peace. With its strong emphasis on wellness, Amanoi attracts travelers looking to decompress and recalibrate. Guests can spend their days relaxing at the spa, lounging on the property’s pristine beach, or immersing themselves in customized holistic journeys. For active travelers, Amanoi’s location on the fringe of Nui Chua National Park lends itself to challenging coastal hikes and meandering bike rides to local villages.

What We Loved: An Aman in the middle of a Vietnamese national park? If that sounds like a recipe for relaxation to you, you’re right. The Lakeside Aman Spa here is epic, and when you’re tired of being pampered (is that possible?), there are plenty of outdoor activities, including hiking, snorkeling, and sailing

What We Didn’t Love: You’re far from almost any action here, which is part of the appeal, but means those who travel for nightlife may get antsy.

Right For: Couples looking for a romantic getaway, and families who aren’t afraid of a long-haul - the beach here is very calm, so if you can get the kiddos all this way, they’re going to love it.

Wrong For: If you’re looking for a quick getaway, the practicalities of travel to Vietnam are going to rule this one out. Come when you can stay a while.

Best Time to Visit: From November to April, during the dry season, when the weather is pleasant and ideal for outdoor activities.

TLF Tip: Amanoi offers a unique wellness immersion program tailored to individual needs, blending traditional Vietnamese treatments with modern wellness practices; we especially love sunrise yoga sessions at the resort’s clifftop pavilion for a serene start to the day with breathtaking views of the sunrise over Vinh Hy Bay.
