La Reserve Paris Hotel & Spa
Hotel Name: La Reserve Paris Hotel & Spa
Number Rooms: 40
Location: Just off the Champs Elysees, 8th arrondissement
In a city ripe with Palace Hotels, La Reserve manages to feel special. The converted Hausmannian mansion opened its doors in 2015 and immediately established itself as one of the city’s best hotels by offering personalized, attentive service in an intimate atmosphere. Eschewing a formal lobby, the La Reserve team opted for small salons where guests are warmly welcomed as if in a private home. The hotel’s 40 rooms walk a fine line between traditional and contemporary, with bedrooms outfitted in rich velvets and toiles and bathrooms coated in sleek marble and shiny chrome. La Reserve sits at the foot of the Champs Elysees and Place de la Concorde, but its legendary library bar and two Michelin star restaurant Le Gabriel give guests plausible reason to stay on property.
What We Loved: Dedicated butler service, secretive seductive atmosphere, lavish decor
What We Didn’t Love: Sometimes it’s a bit too quiet.
Right For: Romantics, travelers who prioritize privacy, anyone who expects highly personalized service
Wrong For: Those looking for a buzzy atmosphere
Best Time to Visit: Paris is always a good idea.
TLF Tip: All rooms face the interior courtyard and all suites face Avenue Gabriel. Request 4th and 5th floor suites for Eiffel Tower and Grand Palais views.
